Samsung Mobile Display ramp up a new OLED plant in Cheonan. The new 5.5 Gen OLED production line will be installed in the 3 quarter 2010. Samsung plan to be ready in January 2011. Samsungs current production line is a 4 Gen. The LTPS portion is a Gen 4 (730×920)
With the new line Samsung want to produce AMOLED Displays for the smartphone market. But also for 3D OLED applications and maybe Samsung need capacity to produce panels for Apples IPAD
