Showa Denko tied up with NovaCentrix

NovaCentrix will license Showa Denko to produce and sell conductive inks (inks containing metal particles) developed by NovaCentrix.

Printed electronics is important to a variety of fields such as displays, photovoltaic batteries and OLED lighting equipment.

NovaCentrix has a technology that is suited for resin substrates in a heat-treating process for forming wires by using a conductive ink. In the process of forming wires, metal particles in the ink are sintered by the thermal process after the ink is used for printing. Because of this thermal process, it is difficult to use resin substrates, which normally have low heat resistances.
