SID Display Week 2008 from 18-23 May 2008 in Los Angeles Convention center!
Now in it's 46th year, the annual SID Symposium has been the premier international gathering of scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users for the discussion, presentation, viewing and evaluation of information display technology. As the must-see event for the worldwide information-display industry, the 2008 SID International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition has grown to include more than 580 booths and 8500 attendees each year.

Also this year the SID-Display Week 2008 does have the focus at the OLED-Display technology.
Now what is interesting for us:

TUESDAY, MAY 20
New OLED Association, 10:45-11:00 a.m.
Managing Director Barry Young will introduce the OLED Association, its charter member companies, and its board. He will outline how the association will work to further the development and widespread adoption of this important display and lighting technology.

Display Bank, 2:00-2:15 p.m.
Executive Vice President of Display Bank, Kenny Kim, will discuss Sony's recent collaboration with Sharp; the controversy on if AMOLED can be the post-LCD; the next leaders of AMOLED; and the choices Korean display companies are going to have to make to succeed in the future.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 21
Dialog Semiconductor, 10:15-10:30 a.m.
Dialog Semiconductor's new SmartXtend™ technology will be making its debut at SID. The company will explain how this technology allows the main displays of many mobile devices-particularly those offering W-QVGA and QVGA resolution-to utilize passive matrix OLED displays rather than LCD or active-matrix OLEDs. Passive-matrix OLEDs are available at a much lower cost compared to active-matrix OLEDs while providing the same advantages in terms of video quality and performance.

Leadis Technology, 10:45-11:00 a.m.
Leadis Technology, Inc., a provider of analog and mixed signal semiconductor technology targeting the display market, will showcase a host of its newest LED display technologies at this year's Display Week. This includes a demo of the DBC demo kit with the Leadis LDS285 display driver and the LDS8866 LED driver; the VPW RGBW with PowerLite™ DBC/ALS demo board, along with the AMOLED MURA Correction Demo; and the Leadis PureTouch™ Family of low-power, capacitive-touch controller ICs for capacitive button, slider, and scroll applications.
