The IFA in Berlin is the world’s leading trade show for the general public and the CE industry’s number one venue for doing business. All of the major Consumer Electronics brands present themselves at this unique business event. A showcase for innovation and the technology of tomorrow – coupled with a spectacular programme of entertainment events –IFA fascinates yearly thousands of visitors from around the world. The IFA 2008 begins 29.08.2008 and ends 03.09.2008.
Sony want to introduce the XEL-1 the world first OLED-TV in Europe and it is certain that Sony shows the XEL-1 in Berlin. If Sony shows also the 27-inch XEL-2 OLED-TV prototyp as shown at the CES-2008 in Las Vegas is not sure. Sony will make some major announcements, which has the single largest booth at the show and is aggressively advertising to visitors with posters at Berlin’s airports and on access roads into the city.
Alongside the small OLED set are likely to be monster plasma and LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs from many of the world’s biggest TV makers. Few are giving away their plans for the show but some, such as Japan’s Sharp, have hinted that major new products will be unveiled.

Oled-display.net spoke with some Samsung official and they promises us that Samsung also show some OLED TV prototypes. What kind of OLED-TV panels Samsung shows at the IFA 2008 is not clear.
But we think it’s the 14-inch and the 31-inch OLED TV Panel.
