Visionox is setting up an OLED panel plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu, and will start mass production in October 2008. vice-president Wan, Boquan stated that equipment has been install and tested. This will be the first OLED mass production line in China.

Visionox was formed in 2001 out of the the Tsinghua University LED project team, which had 10 years of research and technology development in the OLED field. In addition to developing OLED applications, the company designed its own production line.

In addition to Visionox, China-based Changhong has also invested in an OLED production line, and plans to go into mass production in the first quarter 2009 with an annual capacity of 12 million OLED panels.
